Louisiana camping

Are you wondering what you are going to do all summer long now that the kids are off from school and you can finally use up some of that vacation time without worrying that the office will have blown up while you were gone? You could go to Disneyland again, but that can add up to a very expensive vacation, and your kids have been on the rides there at least a thousand times each. You could go visit some relatives, but you do not want to impose on them, and nor do you really want to see them again before Thanksgiving.

Consider camping in louisiana this summer as a fun alternative to the typical family vacation. Camping experiences could range from staying in cabins in Louisiana, to settling at any one of the fine Rv parks louisiana has to offer.

Why Louisiana?

Some of the best camping sites and some of the best RV campgrounds are in Lousiana! If you find yourself near Lake Charles, you will find that the city overlooks a white sand beach surrounding a freshwater lake. The city of Lake Charles is the only place that can lay claim to an inland beach of this kind on the Gulf Coast.

Why Camping?

In general, camping offers new experiences to children. In fact, 63% of children according to The American Camp Association are likely to continue the new games and activities that they learned while camping after they have returned home! Also, for children that have never camped before there are a number of traditional camping experiences which make long lasting memories. Fishing, roasting marshmallows, and telling scary stories around a campfire are all wonderful family bonding experiences.

Cabins in louisiana and the campgrounds where they are located often house other amenities and activities. If you find the right campground then you can enjoy many alternatives to the typical camping experience.

There are a few things that you will want to remember before you go on your trip. First, it is good camping etiquette to make sure the camp site is cleaner than when you found it. Cleaning your campsite before you leave will ensure that the next camper has a good experience, and passes on the favor. Second, when you are out in nature you will want to do as little harm as possible. One way that you can avoid contaminating natural water sources is to use biodegradable soups and avoid using harsh chemicals in anything that you do.

Whether you choose to stay in cabins in Louisiana or in a tent at one of the many campgrounds Louisiana has, you and your family are sure to have a vacation like no other. Show enthusiasm for the experience and your children will follow suit. Camping is an american past time and one that will be sure to create wonderful memories for you and your family.

Camping can actually be pretty expensive if you do not have all of the equipment! Or, well, unless you stay in a cabin. But buying a new tent, cooking stuff, sleeping bags, lanterns, all of that can add up pretty quick.
